Julian

The newest member of the Lee family - Julian Burnside Lee - was born on 27 May 2006 in Chicago. Congratulations Jad and Rebecca!

Photos of my father, Hock Seng
These are scans of old photographs of my father I found in my mother's apartment after she passed on.

An early family portrait. I am on the far right, Eddy is behind me, Henry is on my mother's lap and Robert is on the far left.

Henry's Celica

A collection of different views of my late brother's Toyota Celica in Malaysia. It took a few years to reclaim it from one of his ex-girlfriends who apparently believed that non-possession is nine-tenths of the law!

The New York Bike Ride
I have ridden in the New York 5 Boro Bike Ride (all 42 miles) a couple of times now. This 42 mile ride starts in Battery Park and ends on Staten Island.
dotsdotsMy first time was on 4 May 2003 - the photographs and information on the ride.
dotsdotsI did the ride again this year on 1 May 2005. This time the day was wet and the rain persisted for much of the morning, which explains Alex's silly plastic bag hat (the man has no shame).
dotsdotsSeven of us rode in the 29th ride on 7 May 2006. The weather was perfect. I finished the ride this time at 12:19 p.m. Not a bad time for an older person!

Tour de Brooklyn
This ride in Brooklyn started in 2005. See my photos from the 2006 ride on 4 June

Feline family members
A tribute to our feline family members...
dotsdotsMr. Mister (also known as The Cat) crossed over into the great catnip patch on 14 October 2005. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. This is his home page.
dotsdotsMandu was Patti's Burmese cat. He passed on to the great catnip patch in the sky some years ago.

Haikus
A collection of silly haikus written in Geelong, Australia in the late 1980s. If Edward Lear had chosen to write Haiku instead of Limericks, he would have chosen one or more of the topics we visited.

Common substitutions in cooking
I am well known for my substitutions when I cook, and this table provides some useful common substitutions for cooking. Good for spontaneous (read disorganized) chefs and chef wannabees.
